Google recently announced their latest Nexus smartphone, the Samsung Galaxy Nexus which is the first device that will come with the latest version of Google’s mobile OS, Android Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0.
Google recently confirmed that the Google Nexus S would be getting the Android Ice Cream Sandwich update, but what about the earlier Google Nexus One? It would appear that the Google Nexus One won’t be getting Android Ice Cream Sandwich. According to Google’s Hugo Barra, the Google Nexus One is too old for the Android Ice Cream Sandwich update, and whilst Google won’t be releasing an official one, we can expect and unofficial Ice Cream Sandwich ROM for the Google Nexus One.
