Apple support forums are showing that a number of iOS users have been experiencing a few problems with iWork documents being deleted when used with Apple’s new iCloud backup service. Documents created with Pages, Numbers or Keynote are apparently disappearing when a fresh sync is carried out, leaving no way to recover the documents. The problem only seems to affect iWorks documents and not other data synced with iCloud.
Some desktop users have reported recovering their work from the folder, which is found in the hidden (in Lion) user Library under the name “Mobile Documents” and/or “Mobile Documents.delete.(date)”.
