Samsung Designed The Galaxy Nexus To Bypass Apple Patents

Samsung and Google unveiled the first Android Ice Cream sandwich smartphone yesterday, the Samsung Galaxy Nexus, and considering Samsung has so many different court cases going on between itself and Apple relating to their Galaxy smartphones and tablets, we have been wondering how these would affect the new Samsung Galaxy Nexus.

Google and Samsung obviously worked very closely together to produce the Samsung Galaxy Nexus, and the two companies must have at least discussed any possible problems with the new device relating to Apple and their various patent cases against Samsung, it would appear that this was taken into account by Samsung whilst designing the Galaxy Nexus.

Samsung’s mobile president, Shin Jong-kyun spoke to reporters in Hong Kong after the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S, and said “Now we will avoid everything we can and take patents very seriously,”.

So it looks like Samsung has done everything it can to make sure that Apple won’t be filing a lawsuit against them and Google for the Samsung Galaxy Nexus, although he also had the following to say, “We will see if (the Galaxy Nexus) will be 100 percent free,” from Apple lawsuits”.
