With the launch of Google Nexus smartphone its been discovered that Google’s new Ice Cream Sandwich Android mobile operating system, currently lacks any flash support. Google’s new Galaxy Nexus smartphone is currently supplied without any preinstalled Flash Player, or the ability to be able to download it from the Android Market at present. The reason for the lack of Flash support is down to Adobe says Google, reporting that Adobe needs to update their Flash software for Ice Cream Sandwich. Adobe has yet to update their Flash software for Ice Cream Sandwich, and have also announce that they are stopping development of mobile Flash. But Google explains:
“Flash hasn’t been released for ICS yet so as far as we know, Adobe will support Flash for ICS.” So perhaps a version of Flash for Google’s new Ice Cream Sandwich Android mobile operating system, might arrive once Adobe has made the alterations required. As always we will keep you posted, but the lack of any Flash player might be a good thing.
