The Samsung Galaxy Nexus, Google’s first Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich device will go on sale in the UK on the 17th of November, it is also expected to launch on Verizon Wireless in the US on or around that date, although Verizon has yet to confirm the exact launch date. Verizon also hasn’t revealed any details on how much the new Samsung Galaxy Nexus will cost when it lands on their network, but now it would appear that the Galaxy Nexus will retail for $289 when you sign up to a new two year contract.
According to the guys over at Android Central, the Samsung Galaxy Nexus has appeared in the Costco inventory system for $289 with a two year contract, although this has not been confirmed by Verizon as yet. The Samsung Galaxy comes with some impressive specifications which include a 4.65 inch HD Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels, plus a dual core 1.2GHz processor. The Galaxy Nexus also features an advanced 5 megapixel camera which can record full HD video, and it will be the first Android device to launch wioth Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.
