AT&T-locked Galaxy Nexus passes FCC testing

As far as we knew, there were 2 variants for the Samsung Galaxy Nexus: LTE and HSPA+, where the HSPA+ version had a pentaband radio covering all necessary GSM spectrum. Now, an AT&T only Galaxy Nexus has passed through FCC testing.

The model that went through the FCC was labeled as the Samsung GT-i9250T, and although it does contain the pentaband radio that we've seen hitting European carriers, this FCC filing only tested the GSM 850/1900 and WCDMA II/IV bands used by AT&T.

Of course, there has been no word at all about the release of the Galaxy Nexus on any other American carriers besides Verizon (and there hasn't been any word about that release either, for the record), so we'll just have to wait and see what happens with this. But, it does seem that eventually there will be an AT&T-specific Galaxy Nexus on the market, and that worst case scenario if there is no T-Mobile specific variant, unlocking this version would work on T-Mobile as well.
