Gigabyte GSmart G1355 Android Smartphone Details Leaked

As you would expect in the run up to the Mobile World Congress (MWC) starting this month on February 27th there are going to be a number of leaked images and details arriving for different handsets. One such leak is the new Gigabyte GSmart G1355 which has unofficially been spotted before its launch at the MWC. Gigabyte is probably more well know for its computer components rather than its mobile phones, so its always good to see a new phone from a smaller player.

The Gigabyte GSmart G1355 when launched will be running Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system and will be equipped with a 800MHz Qualcomm MSM7227T CPU, supported by 512MB of RAM, Adreno 200 GPU, 1GB of ROM, and MicroSD card support (up to 32GB). Its will also be sporting a 5 megapixel rear camera, complete with LED flash.

Together with dual SIM support and a 4.3 inch WVGA display, the Gigabyte GSmart G1355 measures 11.5mm thick, and weighs nearly 170g, which is a little on the hefty side even for a phone with a 4.3″ screen. Unfortunately no information on pricing or worldwide availability has been uncovered as yet, but as soon as official information is released at the MWC by Gigabyte, we will keep you updated.

Entry-level Sprint Express smartphone arriving November 18

A device that up until this point has been unknown and is simply dubbed the Sprint Express appears to be destined for a November 18 release and is the latest Android-powered smartphone to have a portrait QWERTY Keyboard.

The Sprint Express is an Android 2.3 handset. Unfortunately we do not yet know which manufacturer is producing this device, although we can probably rule out big names such as Samsung, Motorola and HTC. It has a 2.6-inch display and is powered by a 600MHz processor. It has a 3.2 megapixel camera around back. It is the latest Android device to have a portrait-style form factor with a QWERTY keyboard occupying the bottom half of the device. While the Express may be set for a November 18 release, it will only be available via direct shipping. In other words, don’t venture into your local Sprint store looking for it.

LG DoublePlay unboxed and first impressions video

As you know, T-Mobile has a new Android smartphone coming out to play before the holiday season, the LG DoublePlay, a slide out QWERTY device sporting two display, and if you are pondering on whether the LG DoublePlay is the smartphone for you perhaps an unboxing and first impressions video of the device will help you make up your mind.

So let’s kick off with what specs the LG DoublePlay offers the user, a 3.5-inch primary touch screen, a 2-inch sub-touch screen at the centre of that slide out physical QWRTY keyboard, a 5 megapixel auto-focus camera with flash, 720p video, 1GHz processor, GPS, WiFi, Bluetooth, HSPA+ connectivity, a 1500mAh battery and the Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system.

The LG DoublePlay’s sub-display can show elements of the same application either independently or simultaneously on the main display and thus enables the user to monitor two applications at the same time.

Microsoft’s Windows Phone Companion App For Xbox In Action

At yesterday’s Nokia World, Microsoft revealed some more details about the integration between their Windows Phone and the Xbox 360, the video below shows the new Companion app for the Xbox running on a Nokia Lumia 800.

As you can see from the video the app can be used as a remote for the Xbox including navigation of Microsoft’s various video offering and it can also provide additional content on the smartphone. It certainly looks very interesting from the video, and we suspect Microsoft has a few more things planned for Windows Phone and Xbox integration.

Motorola Droid 3: the Phone That Got Style

Though it wasn’t the first phone to run Android, the Motorola Droid is the handset that put Google’s mobile operating system on the map. Two iterations later we sit with the Motorola DROID 3 the latest take on the QWERTY slider with some of the biggest changes to the line we have seen to date.

The Motorola Droid 3 upgrades the hardware of its predecessors in nearly every way, and does it in a form factor that feels fresh while retaining the classic Droid look. A dual-core 1GHz TI OMAP 4 chipset runs the show here, offering superb speed and responsiveness.

The extra size and weight allowed Motorola to fit the phone with a 4-inch, qHD (540 x 960 pixel) touchscreen display and a wonderful 5-row QWERTY keyboard. From my perspective, this is the best QWERTY keyboard found on an Android smartphone today.

The power button and 3.5mm headphone jack are up top, and the volume control is on the right hand edge, above where one might hope to find a camera shutter button.

The 8 megapixel camera with LED flash is located on the back and an empty microSD memory card slot can be found under the rear cover.

The DROID 3 has 16GB of internal storage, so it's not a problem that the memory card slot is unoccupied and it's nice to know that you can bump up the phone's storage to 48GB by inserting a 32GB card.

Awesome stylish Phone: Motorola Droid XTreme

Motorola introduces droid xtreme; that  a very beautiful and attractive smartphone having the android OS operating system,

It includes accelerometer sensor and QWERTY keyboard, The operating system which is being used by Motorola Droid Xtreme  is Android OS, v2.2 (Froyo). The phone is powered by 750MHz TI OMAP processor.

The phone is having 8 MP, 3264x2448 pixels, autofocus, dual-LED flash camera.

The internal memory of the phone is 8 GB storage, 512MB RAM . The memory card slot is also available for microSD, up to 32GB. A USB supported phone.

 Obviously java supported phone. And it will be available at a very reasonable price. it is hoped that over all this will be a good and user friendly phone for the customers and will gain a good success level in the market.

All New Motorola Defy Plus

Motorola has launched it new upgraded version of Defy Android smartphone, Motorola Defy Plus. Motorola Defy Plus is powered by a faster 1GHz TI OMAP 3620 processor and it runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS.

Phone comes with a 3.7 inches of display screen that is made of Gorilla Glass to deliver the 480 x 854 pixels of resolution.

The Motorola DEFY Plus has a 5.0 Mega Pixels of camera with various features and supports like Geo tagging, LED Flash, Autofocus and Image Stabilization. The phone camera can easily capture the pictures for the resolution of 2592 × 1944 pixels.

This mobile is a 3G phone that also supports the GPRS 32 – 48 Kbps, EDGE and HTML Internet browsing that gives the freedom to enjoy the internet world. This gadget covers the sum of unique features like dust and water proof with active noise cancellation with dedicated mic.

It has 2GB Internal memory, Expandable Memory upto 32GB and 512MB RAM. Its battery 1700 Li-Po provides the better talk time of up to 7.10 hours and standby time of 384 hours.

Motorola XOOM 2 Unleashe

There's nothing like a family portrait, and the Xoom 2 brothers have paired up for this year's Christmas card shot or at least for an anonymous tipster's latest leak. These pictured tablets give us a better look at the rear-facing buttons, which appear to be a power button and a volume rocker.

Motorola Xoom 2 features look to include a 10.1-inch screen - the same as the original, only with a more powerful engine room at work in the shape of what appears to be a Texas Instruments OMAP 4 system on a chip with a dual-core CPU at 1.2GHz with Android 3.2 and 1GB of "faster" RAM.

The HD label on the back of the Xoom 2 from the leaked shots on 23 September is a pretty decent clue that the larger of the two Motorola tablets will be able to shoot 1080p video and it was expected, at the time, for up to 5-megapixel stills to be possible. The leaked shots also clearly show a front facing camera as well.

The Motorola Xoom 2 leak on the Verizon advert is obviously a very strong indicator that the US network is one which will be stocking at least one of these two tablets. We'll have to wait and see about the Motorola Xoom 2 price.

 

The "Impossibly Thin" : Motorola DROID RAZR

As rumored, Motorola introduced the Droid RAZR phone today, calling it an "impossibly thin" phone with a stainless-steel core, a Gorilla Glass screen and a nanotechnology Splash-guard that protects even the electrical boards inside.

The 4.3-inch screen has qHD resolution and is not LCD but Super AMOLED, like Samsung's Galaxy phones. This means it has higher contrast and richer color than iPhone 4S, says Motorola Mobility president.

 Not only will it have an incredibly high-res screen and a powerful 1.2GHz dual-core processor, but it will be the "first device to download HD movies from Netflix. It runs Android 2.3.5, aka Gingerbread. It will not launch with Ice Cream Sandwich, the next version of the Android OS.

Smart Actions let it save up to 30 percent of the battery life by doing things like turning off Bluetooth and GPS when you get to work, and can make your life easier by automatically switching from ring to vibrate when going to church or some high-powered conference.

Obviously this is only measuring javascript performance and not the full web browsing experience, but it's definitely a step in the right direction. Once we get our hands on a review sample we'll dive much deeper into the performance of Motorola's 7.1mm 4G LTE smartphone.
