Motorola Atrix 3 Leaked?

With the pre-Mobile World Congress rumor season in full swing, today sees the emergence of yet another purported device, spec list and image. This time it's the "Motorola Atrix 3", which is being reported on Chinese site Tianjin Daily, after being pulled from Concept-Phones.com. The photo shows a relatively plain, buttonless front sporting a Motorola logo and roughly 16:9 aspect ratio screen. However, it's unclear whether this is a concept, a prototype or simply an imagined device. The original picture is a far cry from your usual concept render, and appears to be an actual photograph. Maybe it's real, maybe someone was just really bored and made a model of their dream smartphone.

For what they're worth, the alleged specs include a Tegra 3 processor, a surprising 2GB of RAM, a 720p display, 10MP camera with dual LED flash and a Droid RAZR MAXX-level 3300mAh battery. All plausible (though 2GB of RAM would be a smartphone first), but at the same time unconfirmable. So we're taking this with a pinch of salt for now.

If it is real, though, the "Atrix 3" could go up against rumored Tegra 3 phones like the HTC One X and LG X3, both of which are expected to be unveiled in Barcelona in just over a week's time. We'll be there covering the whole week's events live.

Motorola Atrix 3 Leaked:

Motorola DROID RAZR MAXX briefly out of stock on Verizon's website, now will ship February 9th

Verizon's website showed that the Motorola DROID RAZR MAXX was out of stock. The LTE enabled smartphone with the massive 3300mAh battery has been a hit for Big Red and Motorola, showing that battery life is a very important feature that handset users look at. The model was just launched on January 26th and costs $299.99 with a signed 2 year pact, although starting this Friday a BOGO promotion on the unit will start.

Before you start getting upset, there is some good news for those who were hoping to soon experience an Android smartphone that doesn't require you to be a slave to the wall socket. Verizon apparently has replenished its inventory of the Motorola DROID RAZR MAXX and shipments will start flowing again on February 9th. If you can't wait a few days for the phone, you can still check with the Verizon stores in your area, or third party retailers like Best Buy, to see if they have inventory of the device.

Other smartphones listed as out of stock on the carrier's online store include the LG Revolution (which has basically been replaced with the LG Spectrum) and the Motorola DROID X2.

Motorola DROID RAZR MAXX Hands-On:

Motorola RAZR Ice Cream Sandwich ROM leaks

An ICS ROM for the GSM version of the Motorola RAZR has leaked online that gives a glimpse of what we could expect later during the year when it starts rolling out officially.

At first glance it looks almost stock but that's mostly because it is still in the developmental stage and there is a lot of work left to be done on it. only visible changes are a new lock screen that features four custom spots where you can drag the lock icon and the option to put the phone on silent or vibration, sorely missing from the stock ICS ROM. Also new is a camera app that is similar to the one on the current Gingerbread ROM for the RAZR.

Unfortunately, the final version may be drastically different, which, considering Motorola's track record, not something we're looking forward to. Hopefully, Motorola sees sense and keeps the customization to a minimum.
