With a flip form factor, the Style 9670 is more fun than corporate. For that reason, I think it will be mostly attractive to consumers that want a unique BlackBerry. I am fond on the 9670 form factor, but not everyone will be. If you're coming from a candybar style BlackBerry, there Style will take some getting used to. It measures 96mm x 60mm x 18.5m (3.78in x 2.36in x 0.73in) and weighs 1131g (4.62oz). In the hand, it feels like a rounded pebble, and I appreciated that it offered a small form factor without sacrificing a full QWERTY keyboard.
The Style has the usual BlackBerry accents: a micro-USB card port on the left, volume and a camera quick-launch key on the right, and a 5MP camera with LED flash on the back. The 5MP camera is an upgrade from the 3.2MP ones found on earlier BlackBerry devices.
The Style 9670 also has an external 320 x 240 pixel display which shows the time, but also any new messages and even small icons alerting you of new notices from social networks such as Facebook and Twitter. The internal 400 x 360 pixel display looked sharp, but its resolution is far below that of high-end smartphones and so websites and movies don't look as stunning.
Below the screen were easily accessible buttons for send, menu, return, and end. In between those buttons there's an optical trackpad that worked well for navigating menus.
I found that the Style's keyboard was a bit stiff at first and that it took a bit of getting used to. I have most recently used the Torch 9800 and the Bold 9700, both of which offer slightly softer keyboards. The spacing between letters also seemed a bit greater, but overall I think the Style 9670's keyboard is solid. Effortless email and text
