AUSTRALIANS are being warned to check the fine print before purchasing a 4G smart phone because of network concerns.
The first 4G phone is set to hit the shelves on Tuesday when the HTC Velocity 4G goes on sale. However, only 40 per cent of the population will have access to true 4G speeds of two to 40 megabits per second, said Telstra.
A map of the Telco’s coverage areas shows a very small percentage of Australia will get to experience these speeds.
