Emporia RL1

The Emporia RL1 is a simple phone for calling and texting and with the Emporia RL1 and you'll have a phone made exclusively for calling and texting — literally. There are no complicated menus or features, just an easy-to-read screen with adjustable text size. And when there's an incoming call, the Emporia RL1's built-in torch blinks to let you know — perfect if you have difficulty hearing. What really stands out about the Emporia RL1 is its design. It's effortless to grip — and all the buttons are extra large, with clearly labelled numbers to make keying things in correctly easier. The Emporia RL1's ringtone can be adjusted to a very high volume — and with extra powerful vibration, you'll know immediately when you've got a call or text. The other handy features on your Emporia RL1 include an alarm clock, a calculator and a birthday reminders tool. You don't need to worry about running out of battery when you buy the Emporia RL1. Once it's spent some time nestled in its charging cradle — which you can either stand on a table or wall-mount — you'll find a single full charge gives the Emporia RL1 a standby time of around eight days, and a talk time of up to 180 minutes. On the phone's sides we see a dedicated flashlight button, a power button, a keyboard lock key, and a 2-button volume rocker. The volume rocker is very well exposed while the power, lock, and flashlight keys are extruded, which prevents accidental presses.

Overall, we are happy with the way the keypad and the buttons on the phone's sides have been designed. Sure, the Emporia RL1 will not win any beauty contests, but that is a disadvantage we can live with.
