In an attempt to capture the dual SIM phone market in India, Nokia has launched the awaited Asha 200 and Asha 300 Touch phones in India (at an affordable price). Nokia 200 is a 2.4’’ TFT display phone with 2 megapixel camera and one can (hot) swap SIMs without turning off the phone – change second SIM to a third, fourth or fifth card. Nokia Asha 200 is a dual-SIM mobile phone comes with a full house QWERTY keypad. Asha 200 is a basic feature mobile phone and is least priced in the Asha series. This mobile phone comes with a 2.4-inch (320×240 pixels) TFT display with Dedicated SIM manager and Messaging keys. The device loaded with Easy Swap option which allows the user to change the SIM card without turning-off the device. With the SIM manager loaded, user can switch between five SIM cards with all the personalization settings. For an easy of access, users can custom define the name to SIM cards in simple steps. Asha 200 sports an integrated 2.0 megapixel camera and comes with Bluetooth v2.1 with EDR and external memory slot. Nokia Asha 200 comes with Nokia Music Unlimited, DRM which allows the user to store music on cloud and enjoy anywhere and at anytime. This subscription based service is available for free with the device for a period of 3 months. Thereafter, user can opt-in for a paid-subscription with a nominal monthly charges or opt-out the service. Nokia Asha 200 comes in a range of colors with a price tag of Rs.4759 in India.
The new Nokia Asha 300 is an affordable Touch & Type device launched in India. The device comes with a 2.4 inch resistive touchscreen and weighs 85 grams in mass. Asha 300 packed with a powerful 1Ghz processor and runs on Symbian S40 Operating system. The device works on GSM network and supports 3G HSPA Quad-band. Nokia Asha 300 sports an 5.0 megapixel camera on the rear-side with video recording facility at 25fps. Along with the on-board internal memory, the device houses an external memory slot with up to 32GB support. The other features include, faster access messaging, email and instant messaging.Nokia Asha 300 comes with an upgraded Nokia Browser that gives you swipe access to apps, music or games from the Nokia Store. Like Asha 200, this mobile phone also comes with an access to Nokia Unlimited Music, DRM subscription free for three months. The standard 1100 mAh battery offers a talk time up to 7 hours and 550 hrs of standby.
Nokia Asha 300 comes in attractive colors like graphite, night Shade, gold, white silver, pink and red. This mobile phone comes with a price tag of Rs.7409 in India.
