Samsung win Galaxy Tab 10.1 legal battle against Apple
SAMSUNG has won its legal battle against Apple over the sale of the Galaxy Tab 10.1, which will now hit shelves in Australia before Christmas.
The two companies have been fighting since April in 10 different countries - with both sides claiming the other infringed copyright.
On November 30, the Federal Court unanimously reversed a temporary ban on sales of the Galaxy device in Australia and the High Court today denied Apple's request to appeal the decision.
Samsung released a statement today saying the company was pleased with the decision and that the tablet would be available in stores in time for Christmas.
During the stouts, Samsung had earlier retaliated against Apple by trying to have the iphone 4S banned in Australia and around the world.
