Samsung Galaxy S II Plus Photo Leaked?

We heard yesterday that the Samsung Galaxy S II Plus rumored to come with Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread, a WVGA display and a dual core 1.5GHz processor, but now it looks like handset will come with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich instead.

Yesterday we learned from Samsung that it's not planning to announce the Samsung Galaxy S III at this month's Mobile World Congress in Barcelona and at the same time, rumors hit the Interweb that Samsung might launch a Galaxy S II refresh called the Samsung Galaxy S II Plus. At least that's what a recent benchmark was suggesting. According to that, the Galaxy S II Plus will feature the same WVGA touchscreen like the Galaxy S II (display technology unknown), but it's expected that the S II Plus comes with a faster CPU at 1.5 GHz. Today, Eldar Murtazin followed up on Twitter and posted a picture which could be a press photo of the Samsung Galaxy S II Plus.

While the recent benchmark test ran on a Galaxy S II Plus with Android 2.3.4 (which is quite outdated anyway), Murtazin's photo suggests that the Galaxy S II Plus might comes with Android 4.0/Ice Cream Sandwich (which is more likely anyway). Furthermore it suggests, that Samsung has replace the center button with three Ice Cream Sandwich-look alike touch sensitive buttons.

There's no confirmation yet that the photo above is either representing a real upcoming Samsung smartphone nor that it represents the Samsung Galaxy S II Plus but chances are high that a refreshed Galaxy S II might really looks similar.
