It seemed as if Google had all but forgotten about its once beloved Nexus S. The company’s previous flagship handset was slated to receive an Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update in December, but due to unforeseen problems that still remain a mystery, Google pulled the update shortly after its release. Since then, there has been radio silence from Mountain View as owners anxiously awaited details regarding the company’s plan for the device.There has been some speculation when the Nexus S would be getting the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update, and now it looks like it has been confirmed. According to the guys over at Engadget it looks like the Nexus S will be getting the Android 4.0 update after all, and the update should be available on the device within the next few weeks. The Nexus S 4G will also get the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update, unfortunately we don’t have a specific date on when the update will be available.
