Samsung Transform Ultra is officially coming to Sprint as well
Even though it’s not regarded as a successor, the Samsung Transform Ultra is now setting its mark on being a part of Sprint’s lineup in the near future, which complements its recent availability with Boost Mobile earlier in the month.

Not surprisingly, Sprint will be taking in the handset as well, and from the looks of it, this Android 2.3 Gingerbread smartphone is nearly an exact replica to the model that’s on Boost Mobile right now. Specifically, it features a 3.5” HVGA touchscreen, sliding landscape style QWERTY keyboard, 1 GHz Qualcomm MSM8655 processor, 3-megapixel rear camera, front-facing VGA camera, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, microSD card slot, and a 1,500 mAh battery. In terms of experience, it’s going to be sporting the usual Sprint ID pack experience running on top of Android 2.3 Gingerbread.

Obviously, this is pretty much a refreshed version of the aging Samsung Transform from last year, which easily positions it in the mid-range market nowadays. However, there was no mention from Sprint or Samsung on when the device will go on sale with the carrier – nor was pricing unveiled in the press release. Regardless of that, considering that it’s selling for $230 without a contract with Boost Mobile, one can easily imagine that this is going to be priced well below the $100 on-contract mark.
