Apple has released a new version of iOS 5.1 to developers, in an attempt to fix the battery problems that have been reported by many users of Apple’s iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S, the iOS 5.1 Beta 2 update. The iOS 5.2 Beta 2 update is compatible with the iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPhone 3GS, both of the Apple iPads, and the 3rd and fourth generation iPod Touch. There are no details as yet on whether the new iOS 5.1 Beta 2 update has actually solved the reported battery issues.
