Motorola Droid 4 Launch Postponed To February?

We’ve been talking about the Droid 4 for quite a while and everyone has been wondering if it will launch during this month. Sorry to burst your bubbles but according to a leaked Verizon document, the release of the D4 which was actually scheduled for Dec. 22 and has been moved to February 12, 2012 for now. Of course, this isn’t your official Big Red announcement which means that we can’t actually verify it until it shows up in a press release. One thing for sure, we will definitely see this LTE-equipped phone during CES in January. Don’t miss DM’s Live coverage of CES 2012.

A recent report from Droid-life also suggests that the upcoming dual-core handset will land on Verizon’s LTE network only next year. Some suggest that February 2nd is now the targeted release date, though confirmation on this is still pending.

Chances are that Motorola and Verizon plan on making a series of changes to the handset itself, in an attempt to make it better than it was. Hopefully, they will also load it with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.
