Pandora Radio for Android

If you're not familiar with Pandora, it requires you to create an account before listening to its streaming-radio content. Once you've created an account and have installed the app, you'll be able to listen to and create personalized Pandora radio stations, right from your mobile device. Just like the site, the Pandora app lets you create stations based on artists or songs, browse through its Genre stations, or fire up a Quick Mix. You can purchase any song that plays with a simple tap, or hit the info button to read interesting details about both the track and the artist. And, of course, you can give thumbs-up (or down) ratings and skip tracks as needed. For quick Home screen access, there's even a built-in widget, which lets you do all the basics.

While we were pleased that the Pandora app enabled sharing of stations through e-mail, we still think it could offer more. For instance, Facebook and Twitter should have been integrated because, let's face it, those are the more likely avenues for sharing media these days. Also, you can't Add Variety to or edit station details from the mobile app, which was pretty disappointing.

Overall, we think the Pandora app for Android is nice for basic listening purposes. But with limited sharing options and an inability to edit stations, we'll wait for the next version before giving it a full endorsement.
