Ford set to showcase MyFord Mobile app at CES

A few months has passed since Ford opened up pre-orders for its upcoming electric Focus release. Next week at CES, Ford is scheduled to demo the companion for the electric Focus, the new MyFord Mobile app.

The app will allow Focus Electric owners to monitor battery life, estimate driving distance on the current charge, search for nearby locations, optimize charging times, monitor their impact on the environment, and even share their stats via social media outlets.

"The MyFord Mobile app and the Focus Electric work together to coach drivers to be more efficient and maximize the benefits of the electric vehicle experience," said Kelly Zechel, MyFord Mobile product manager. "We wanted to help drivers get more miles out of every charge and have some fun along the way."

Until the presentation happens, check out the video below for a peek into some of the features you can expect to see in action next week.

Epic Infographic Explains Why Smartphone Use Causes All Sorts Of Problems

There is a concerned party (they sell eyeglasses), however, who want to inform the public about the dangers of excess smartphone use. They even went so far as to prepare an infrographic about what particular aspects of smartphone use can possibly harm our health. Too sensational? Not quite. Have a preview below.

Since the whole thing is epically long, go here instead. it’s a vivid and cartoonish chronicle of the different ways everyday smartphone use adversely affects our body, from eye syndromes to postures. Rather alarmist, but it is a clever way to raise awareness for glasses.

Keep in mind the whole point is a person might want to consider appropriate eyewear for their power-user status via the smartphone. The showcase done with, a big thanks goes out to Brittany (muchas gracias).
