Walmart and T-Mobile are teaming up to offer the pre-paid service fans out there access to a new 4G service plan starting on October 16. The plan has no contract and offers the HSPA+ faux 4G data speeds that are marginally faster than 3G.
The service will be offered in Walmart stores and on Walmart.com and T-Mobile.com as well. The plan will cost subscribers $30 monthly and will include voice, data, and texting. Subscribers will get 100 talk minutes, 5GB of 4G data, and unlimited texting. Talk time is 10 cents per minute after going over the scant 100 minute plan. I hope you do a lot of texting and not much calling to get the best of this deal. After the 5GB of faster data speeds is used, the plan cuts you back to 2G speeds.
