Android 3.2 update for the Motorola XOOM is finally being rolled out in Europe after many delays
Verizon Motorola XOOM owners managed to get Android 3.2 Honeycomb way back in July, but unfortunately for European tablet owners, their turn in getting the software update took quite a different path – well, a lengthy one at that.

In what seems to be an eternity, especially when it was initially expected to become available in September, which then got pushed to ‘before the end of October’, Android 3.2 Honeycomb is finally heading to the Motorola XOOM in Europe. Specifically, it targets the Wi-Fi only version of the Motorola XOOM, but if you happen to own one that’s cellular connected via 3G, you’ll need to wait a little bit longer before getting it. From the looks of it, the update is currently being made available in countries like Austria, Denmark, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Norway, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and the UK.

For those who forgot what the update entails, it features faster screen rotation, improved docking support, a full version of QuickOffice for all your productivity needs, a new printing application, enhanced VPN support, additional languages, new keyboard layouts, and a remote management software.

In terms of getting the new software, it’s being made available via the usual over-the-air process – meaning, all you have to do is check for updates under the Android settings menu. Before getting started though, just double check to make sure that the battery level is at least the 50% mark.
