Samsung Galaxy S II and Galaxy Note are confirmed to receive ICS
Relying on our characteristic ability to act on impulse, especially after Samsung introduced the world to its upcoming Samsung Galaxy Nexus, some recent Samsung Galaxy S II handset owners might have had some other bitter feelings. Fortunately, they can set aside those dampened feelings of being left out on the curb to wallow with Gingerbread – well, that’s because Samsung confirmed some good news.

In addition to Samsung confirming the great news that their venerable Galaxy S II model with be moving up to Ice Cream Sandwich, we’re also greeted with the tangible news that the Galaxy Note will also be getting the tasty treat. Obviously, it goes to show how much Samsung is keeping firm in supporting its portfolio, which is surprising considering they’re taking such a massive undertaking with this.

Ultimately, it’s going to be Samsung who’ll win in the end with this move – especially when their reputation in software updates haven’t been necessarily very timely in the past. So fear not, if you happened to recently buy a Samsung Galaxy S II, you can sleep knowing that you’ll get to experience the most up-to-date Android experience.

As much as we love knowing it’s going to be getting such a monumental update, we’re curious to know on when exactly it’ll be rolling out. Let’s hope that it’s not going to be a long time!
