Nokia E7 Symbian 3 QWERTY business smartphone announced

During Nokia World in London, Nokia announced the E7, a smartphone targeted at business users that runs the Symbian^3 operating system. The Nokia E7 sports a 4-inch polarized AMOLED touchscreen with a 640 x 360 pixel resolution, and offers 802.11b/g/n WiFi connectivity, GPS, USB on-the-go support, a 3.5mm headphone jack with TV-out, and free Ovi Maps with navigation. It also has an 8 megapixel camera.

The E7 offers both a touchscreen and a full QWERTY keyboard. It measures 123.7mm x 62.4mm x 12.6mm (4.8in x 2.4in x 0.5in) in size and weighs 176g (6.2oz). The E7 also comes with a host of business apps from the Ovi Store preinstalled, such as Salesforce for Symbian, Bloomberg, F-Secure Mobile security, Microsoft Communicator Mobile, and JoikuSpot.

Nokia launches Oro smartphone with gold and leather - and a lofty pricetag

Nokia has just introduced a new smartphone called the Oro, based on the existing C7, but with an added touch of luxury. Nokia has a tradition of producing expensive, high-end luxury phones with its Vertu brand, but the Oro is branded Nokia through and through. It features 18-carat gold plating, hand-wrapped leather, and a sapphire crystal on the home key. The sapphire crystal is said to offer beauty and greater durability when compared with traditional glass.

Technology-wise, the Oro has the same guts as the C7, so you will find a pentaband 3G radio, a 3.5-inch AMOLED display, and an 8 megapixel camera with flash, but no autofocus. All the gold and leather in the world will not make that lens autofocus, unfortunately. Unlike the C7, the Oro will ship with the latest version of Symbian, dubbed Anna.

The Oro will be available in limited quantities in Europe, Eastern Europe, China, and the Middle East in the third quarter of this year. It will cost upwards of 800 EUR (US$1125), but if you have to ask the cost...you know the rest. And in case you were wondering, Oro means gold in Italian. Nokia announces C2-05 low-cost feature phone

Nokia has announced the C2-05, a low-cost feature phone that will bring web functionality to emerging markets across the world. One of the main target markets will be China, so Nokia included built-in support for the QQ Chinese social network. The C2-05 features a sliding design with a traditional number pad and 2-inch QVGA (240 x 320 pixel) resolution display. It features a VGA camera and can play MP3 and MP4 files stored on a microSD memory card. The C2-05 can handle microSD cards up to 32GB in capacity, and also features a built-in FM radio.

Nokia is packing a stereo headset in the box with the C2-05, which measures 99.43mm x 47.77mm x 16.28mm (3.91in x 1.88in x 0.64in) and has a weight of 98.5g (3.47oz). Nokia will be offering versions that support either the 900/1900MHz bands or 850/1900MHz bands. The company claims the C2-05 will get four hours of talk time or 20 days of standby with its included battery. Running the show on the C2-05 is Nokia's S40 feature phone operating system. In addition to the pre-loaded QQ app, there are apps for Facebook and Twitter available as well. The C2-05 will be available in Q4 of this year in pink, peacock blue, and dynamic grey color options. Nokia X2-05 is a candybar feature phone for emerging markets

Along with the C2-05, Nokia has unveiled the X2-05, a candybar feature phone that will be offered in emerging markets. Running Nokia's S40 operating system, the X2-05 offers smartphone-like features, such as installable apps and the new Nokia web browser.

The X2-05 sports a 2.2-inch QVGA (240 x 320 pixel) resolution display and VGA camera. Its external speaker is rated at 106phons, which Nokia claims is loud enough to fill an entire room. The phone measures 113mm x 50mm x 15mm (4.45in x 1.97in x 0.59in) and weighs 87.8g (3.1oz). It can play MP3 or MP4 files, and supports microSD card expansion up to 32GB. The X2-05 supports the 900/1900MHz bands, and Nokia says that its included battery can provide four hours of talk time or up to 25 days of standby.

Nokia will offer the X2-05 in black, silver, white, and bright red color options when it is available in Q4 of this year. It will sell for about 46 EUR (US$63). Take a look at the video below to see more of the X2-05.

Nokia's 603 is the latest Symbian Belle smartphone from Espoo

Nokia may be hard at work behind the scenes on its Windows Phone smartphones that are expected to debut before the year is out, but it hasn't stopped producing Symbian smartphones, and the 603 is the latest Symbian effort from the company. The Nokia 603 features an all-touch interface and the latest Symbian Belle operating system.

The Nokia 603 sports a 3.5-inch ClearBlack display with nHD (360 x 640 pixel) resolution. It is powered by a 1GHz processor and has a 5 megapixel camera that can shoot 720p HD (1280 x 720 pixel) video. Nokia says the 603's battery will keep it going for seven hours of talk time or over 19 days of standby. The 603 supports HSPA+ 14.4Mbps connections on the 850/900/1700/1900/2100MHz bands, and features Bluetooth 3.0 and NFC support. The phone measures 113.5mm x 57.1mm x 12.7mm (4.47in x 2.24in x 0.5in) and weighs 106.9g (3.77oz).

Running the latest version of Symbian, Belle, the 603 features the latest Nokia Browser and Maps applications. It also comes with Angry Birds, Fruit Ninja, Shazam, YouTube, Microsoft Office Communicator, Quick Office, Adobe PDF reader, and Vlingo all pre-installed. Nokia will be offering the 603 in black and white color options, each with six interchangeable back plates of various colors. Nokia Luna Bluetooth headset features NFC pairing, charging pod

Nokia has released the new Luna Bluetooth headset that offers quick and easy pairing with its NFC-equipped smartphones. Additionally, the Luna comes in a variety of colors and has a charging pod that it snaps in to.

The Luna headset is tiny, weighing only 5g (0.17oz). Its pod is a little bit larger, at 18.3g (0.65oz), but that provides it with extra battery life, offering up to sixty days of standby. The headset itself has eight hours of talk time. Removing the headset from the pod will automatically answer an incoming call, and putting it back in the pod will hang up a call. The Luna can be easily paired with a Nokia smartphone that has NFC by just tapping the two devices together. It also features voice prompts to alert the user of battery life and walk them through pairing with a non-NFC phone. It has support for multi-point connections and Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR.
