Sony To Buy Ericsson Out Of Sony Ericsson Partnership For $1.47 Billion

We heard a rumor recently that Sony was looking to buy Ericsson out of their Sony Ericsson partnership, with Sony taking full control of its smartphone business which has been a joint project between the two companies over the last 10 years. Sony will pay Ericsson 1.05 billion Euros, which works out at $1.47 billion US, and this will allow Sony to incorporate its mobile devices into other Sony products like PCs, tablets and more.

The transaction gives Sony an opportunity to rapidly integrate smartphones into its broad array of network-connected consumer electronics devices – including tablets, televisions and personal computers – for the benefit of consumers and the growth of its business. The transaction also provides Sony with a broad intellectual property (IP) cross-licensing agreement covering all products and services of Sony as well as ownership of five essential patent families relating to wireless handset technology. The smartphones that Sony Ericsson have produced together have are becoming increasingly more popular, especially the Sony Ericsson Android devices, and the deal will allow Sony to develop its mobile devices on it own.

Apple Creating Airport Utility App For iOS

Its been discovered in the recent release of iOS5 Gold Master that Apple is currently working on creating a new Airport Utility App For iOS. Apple has stated that one of its goals in developing iOS 5 is to make iOS devices “PC free,”. The new discovery would follow those lines allowing iPhone, iPad and iPod touch owners running iOS 5 to set up their AirPort stations without needing to use a computer.

The Apple Insider website explains:
“Under Wi-Fi Networks, a new option reads “Set up an AirPort Base Station…” In setting up a Time Capsule, users are given the option to create a Wi-Fi network, complete with password, or “Do something different.” Selecting the latter option gives users the option to join an existing network, or to replace a base station. Users are also given appropriate error messages or details on how to fix any issues directly from the iOS Settings application.”

Time Capsule or AirPort hardware setup using the new Apple iOS 5 is yet another piece of Apple’s PC-free philosophy. More information and screenshots can be found over on the Apple Insider website.

Android Smartphone with powerful processor Motorola Atrix 2

If you are one of the Android faithful over in the good old US of A and pondering on whether to snap up the successor to the Motorola Atrix, aptly named the Motorola Atrix 2, perhaps a nice review with the Android smartphone may help you come to a decision, so here we go:
It carries over the same 1GHz dual-core Tegra 2 processor that runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread.
The highlights here are the larger display, the faster network capabilities, and an improved camera. It has a PenTile qHD (960×540) display, just like its older sibling, but it balloons up from four inches to 4.3?.
The shooter gets upgraded to 8MP (up from 5MP), with LED flash, front facing camera, 1080p HD video.
It now supports theoretical 21Mbps downloads on AT&T’s HSPA+ network (the original only managed 14.4Mbps) other features are 8GB memory, WiFi, Bluetooth, HDMI, DNLA, 3.5mm jack.
While the Atrix 2 doesn’t really offer anything that these other beasts don’t already bring to the table, it does take what the original brought to the table, improves on that formula, and brings it more up to “late 2011? specs

Nokia's Afforable cellphone X2-05

Experience the elegance in a simple look and sober performance with the current Nokia X2-05. Nokia X2-05 carries simple but sober qualities with a view of meeting the demands of average community with a modern touch. Nokia X2-05 delivers 64MB internal memory that is expandable by a Micro SD card slot, VGA card slot
The Nokia X2-05 is a music-centered bar, packing a really powerful speaker. According to Nokia the perceived loudness of that one is 106 phons. An FM radio with a support for recording and a VGA camera are the other multimedia features of the phone.
At 87.8g, the Nokia X2-05 87.8g is even lighter than the C2-05, despite the larger screen. Much like its sibling though, the X2-05 packs a MicroSD card slot, dual-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE, Bluetooth and microUSB port.
Available in Black, Silver, White and Bright Red, the Nokia X2-05 will also ship in Q4 and is expected to cost around €46 before taxes.

Nokia's New attraction C2-05 Touch and Type

The Nokia C2-05 Touch and Type has a slider form-factor, and it can slip easily into pockets and handbags the world over: this is a phone that’s geared towards style-conscious social networkers.
Nokia C2-05 is also known by the name of Nokia C2-05 Touch & Type. Concerning the properties of this currently announced handset, it holds VGA, 640×480 pixels camera, 64MB built-in memory that is expandable to 32GB by a Micro SD card slot. VGA, 640×480 pixels also supports social networking integration like Facebook, Twitter Application, Nokia maps, voice memo as well as MP3/MP4 Player. VGA, 640×480 pixels is the appealing budget handset that sooths your choice in Dynamic Gray, Peacock Blue and Pink color so that you can pick a piece of your own color choice. Regarding the drawbacks of Nokia C2-05 slide phone, there come too many things before our eyes such as its simple VGA camera, too short memory of 64MB and above all the most of the Nokia handsets are already available in this ordinary shape with no change and this thing may cause difficulties in its progress in the market. Finally, Nokia C2-05 as is a low budget phone is overall a good invention by Nokia for those who cannot afford high budget.
Nokia C2-05 will be expected available by end of 2011 but the Nokia C2-05 Touch and Type price is yet to be announced.
